This page explains what information My Korean Fate collects, how it is used, and what choices you have. We have written it in plain language rather than legal form.
What Information We Collect
My Korean Fate collects information in two situations: when you use the free Saju calculator, and when you request a Full Reading.
Free calculator: When you calculate your Saju chart, you provide your birth date, birth time, and gender. This information is used only to generate your chart. It is processed on our server and is not stored, saved to a database, or associated with your identity.
Full Reading: When you request a Full Reading, you provide your birth details and an email address. Your birth details are used to generate your personalized report. Your email address is collected to facilitate delivery of your reading. It is not stored in a database or added to a marketing list. Payment information (card details) is handled entirely by Mercado Pago and is never seen or stored by My Korean Fate.
Affiliate Tracking
If you arrive at My Korean Fate through a referral link (a link containing ?ref=), your browser stores a small piece of text (a reference code) in its local storage. This is used to attribute your visit to the referral source. It stays on your device, not on our servers. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Analytics
My Korean Fate does not currently use any analytics or tracking tools. We do not install cookies on your browser for tracking or advertising purposes.
Third-Party Services
Payments: My Korean Fate uses Mercado Pago to process payments. When you complete a purchase, you interact with Mercado Pago's interface. Their privacy policy governs how they handle your payment details.
Fonts: This site uses Google Fonts, loaded through Google's servers. Google may collect technical information about your request as part of serving those fonts.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide only to:
- Calculate and generate your Saju birth chart
- Deliver your Full Reading, if requested
- Process your payment through Mercado Pago
- Attribute referrals to the correct source (affiliate tracking)
What We Do Not Do
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build a profile of you. We do not use it for any purpose other than providing the service you requested.
Your Rights
You can request to know what information we hold about you, ask us to delete any information we may have, or opt out of any communications from us.
